Farewell to Jem, Wendy, Ellie and Sam
On 24 July we said farewell to our dear friends, the Hawkins family. A lovely service, which included many friends from the circuit including Bethel, Calf Heath and Florence Street, was followed by a bring and share lunch.
We wish them all much happiness as Jem continues his ministry in Dudley. Thank you for your love and ministry over nine years here in Cannock. You are all very special to us. God bless you all.
Jems leaving message to us -
"Thank you and God Bless"
"As we prepare to move, we just want to
say THANK YOU for taking us to your hearts and being a part of our
extended family. Over the last nine years I have been privileged to
be the minister of Florence Street, Trinity Norton Canes, St Paul's, St
Stephen's, Calf Heath and Bethel; likewise with Longford School, Bridgtown
School and Hednesford Valley High. Each is unique and special and
where we have met many special people. In our churches and in our
communities it has been wonderful to get to know people and make some good
friends (of all footballing persuasions - or of none!). It is a real
wrench moving from Cannock, where we have been happy and settled, and
where we have developed strong friendships. Yet we take with us many
happy memories (and a few sad ones) and share a great deal of love: As a family, we wish to say a big THANK
So farewell friends, we go in love

Holiday Club - 1st - 5th August
Another successful and enjoyable holiday
club. 'Mission Rescue' followed the story of Moses in
Egypt. It was full
of dramatic stories and wonderful life-lessons. There was games,
songs, DVD clips, drama and craft. The children were acting as
secret agents: engaging in missions, cracking codes, making disguises and
much more. A great week was had by children and helpers and ended
with a 'show and tell' evening followed by fish and chips. Thanks to
everyone involved especially Peter, Annette and Susan.
